Our Stories
Smashing Bumpkins
You put your whole self in…
Oh, what a night of fun, laughter and energy. It was a marvellous thing to see almost 200 people following instructions twirling, skipping, clapping and finding themselves back in the right line at the right time to repeat it all again. Delight was on the faces of all, whether age 5 through to 75+ with dances well designed for all to enjoy throughout the evening.
“Let’s do it again next year!”
“That was a fantastic family fun night!”
“Great community connections.”
With comments such as these from many attendees at our Smashing Bumpkins Bush Dance, we will certainly work towards creating another opportunity for families to celebrate life together in such an entertaining way.
Our thanks go to the many volunteers who supported us in hosting the evening. From those who assisted in preparing for the evening, gathering donations of food and supplies, to those setting up the venue with hay bales and lighting, through to those who cooked and served food, drinks and those who helped with pack up and clean up.
We give thanks to the volunteers, who ‘put their whole selves in,’ to supporting the Kindness Works fundraising effort. It is a privilege to serve alongside people who glorify God in such a wholehearted way.
Volunteer efforts, food donations and ticket sales saw the night raise approx. $3,000 for Kindness Works.
