Our Stories
Kid's Ministry
I have an immense admiration for my junior leaders. I call them "my" junior leaders because they are truly special to me. Watching these kids grow in their faith and develop in their leadership has been so rewarding, and I couldn't be prouder of them.
One of the most inspiring stories was when a little boy arrived at Kids Club and would not join in and was difficult to connect with. It was the night when we had radio-controlled car races. The little boy was included in a small group with a Junior Leader. They connected beautifully, and at the night's end, the Junior Leader asked to always be in a group with him because he trusted her. She had built a relationship with him.
The Junior Leaders are "best friends". They spend a lot of time together and sometimes mentor each other. Going on camps, attending training courses, and running programs have all been part of being a Junior Leader. I have also had the privilege of seeing many of them baptised.
Some younger kids have approached me and said they can't wait to be Junior Leaders. They have seen this group of teenagers in action and want to follow in their footsteps. How good is that!
Being a parent of a Junior Leader is no small feat. These parents have shown incredible dedication, often rearranging their schedules to support their children's involvement. Their efforts are truly appreciated, from early arrivals for programs to the various ways their children serve. Please pray for these wonderful kids who are serving Jesus meaningfully.
