Member's Meeting Sun Mar 23

By Nicole Wilson
Okay, so not everyone gets excited about attending meetings, but there are a few of us. But when you have a sense that God is speaking and growing us to hear Him and that He wants to move through His church, then who wouldn’t want to join in, right?
So, a quick wrap up of the first two Agenda items:
Firstly, as James’ role has been developing over the past three years, Brett recommended to the Elders that James’ role be recognised as an Associate Pastor’s role in recognition of his increase in experience and responsibilities. It didn’t take long to vote to affirm this. Well done James, on fixing your eyes and working out the call God has on your life.
Then Jo Lambden provided a quick update on the progress of our Fire Hydrant System and that how, due to weather conditions, the works have been again pushed back, due to commence late April 2025, weather pending!! We were encouraged to give financial support to this still, as the more we raise now, the less we have to borrow.
The rest of the meeting was spent in 6 smaller groups as Brett asked us to gather under the leadership of an Elder to discuss 4 options to improve the capacity for growth within our church. The elders have already been in much discussion as they recognised the issue of our limitation to grow due to a lack of seating capacity. What a problem to have!!!!
God is drawing people back to Himself! We are seeing this regularly as people walk through our doors, any day of the week, contact us online or send an email….just because they feel led to explore God, or come back to church.
May we open our doors wide, make room and welcome everyone into the family of God!
It was great to be a part of the process of brainstorming, looking at the pros and cons of our options, but then, ultimately, praying together as God’s people to ask God to lead us to what He would have us do. Let’s continue to humbly walk before God, making ourselves available to serve and honour Him in our church, ‘to see lives and families transformed as we all live out the ways of Jesus.’
I look forward to seeing the way You answer our prayers Lord.
