How our giving works:
- The 'General' mission income (separate to General offering), is set aside to meet our commitment of $50,400 per year ($4,200 per month).
- Specific gifts to these 4 missions are identified as 'Specific' mission income but are also used to assist in meeting our monthly commitment.
- All Specific gifts assigned to a missionary go to that missionary and if designated General Mission are spread across the 4 missions.
Current giving pattern:
- Between 25 to 30 families give regularly to meet our commitment to the 4 missions.
- We are currently seeing a pattern of monthly shortfall of $1,000 - $1,500.
Addressing the shortfall:
- Goal: to raise an additional $15,000/per annum.
- Looking for additional, regular gift givers, or one-time givers
- Potentially 10-15 new families giving $25 per week, or $50 per fortnight or $100 per month could fill the gap. Or one time, larger gifts can help to build the reserve.
Thank you for praying and considering how God may be leading you to assist in supporting this important work.

- Wayne and Olya Zschech have served in Ukraine over 20 years in ministry, and Wayne is currently Field Co-Ordinator of Operation Mobilisation in Ukraine. They are helping many throughout the war of the past 3 years and working on sustainable energy projects.
- College of Theology and Evangelism Fiji Bible College provides training for many people in the Pacific Islands to enable them to go back to work in their home areas with a sound knowledge of the Gospel. HBBC have partnered with them since 1993 with our previous Senior Pastor, Keith Stevenson, again presenting at their annual conference this year.
- Alan and Leanne Purvis are our newest long-term missionaries serving with WEC in Cambodia. After 2 years of language and cultural training, they will start ministering in Siem Reap on return from their home assignment in June this year. They will be spending most of the month of May in Hervey Bay so there should be some great opportunities to catch up with them and learn more.
