Kindness Works EOFY Giving
Dear Friends and Church Family,
On behalf of the Board of Kindness Works, we want to say a very big thankyou to everyone who contributes in any way to the work of COACH Family and Youth mentoring and our StreetWorks homelessness community.
Your gifts and donation of time, resources and giving have enabled us to mentor more than 150 families and assist more than 300 people living rough, in poverty and homelessness in Hervey Bay since 2021.
So at this time of the year, as we all contemplate the EOFY, tax returns and other such matters, did you know that Kindness Works is a registered charity, and that all financial donations over $2 are tax deductible? Yes, that’s right, our charity was awarded this status in 2021 and has been able to issue tax deductible gift receipts every financial year since.
If helping to see families and young people flourish in difficult life circumstances, or seeing broken, cold and hungry people kept warm, fed and encouraged with love, friendship and in many and varied practical ways in Hervey Bay is something on your heart, then please consider a one-off gift or even monthly gifts to Kindness Works. All tax receipts are issued within a month of year end.
And Jesus read from the scroll (Luke 4:18) 'The Spirit of the Lod is upon me to preach the gospel to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted, to declare freedom to the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.'
