Prayer

"Prayer is a reflection of the level of faith we have"….
All of us who believe in Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and being raised back to life have a faith in Jesus. We are saved! Yet, as we go about our Christian journey, we come across life challenges which can be tricky to navigate at best and at worst can feel soul destroying.
We also can have big goals, dreams and desires for ourselves, our family and God’s kingdom.
It is from our life journey that we speak to God on all these matters.
How we pray and what we pray for reveals to ourselves where our faith is at?
Do I trust Him with my deepest darkest part of my soul that I haven’t shown to anyone before? Do I trust that He actually wants to help me along the right path?
Do I trust that as a heavenly Father He has my best interests at heart?
Do I trust that He does actually forgive all of my sins including those deep dark secrets?
Trust seems to coincide with our faith in Him. So maybe the original statement is more to be worded as this: "Our prayer life reflects how much we trust our heavenly Father"… If we are not praying or barely at all we’re not reflecting a trusting relationship.
If we are praying superficially then we seemingly are not trusting God with our deep hurts. I think there is a part of us in our human nature that reveals a lack of trust for our Creator. This goes back to the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. They seemingly didn’t trust God but trusted Satan and his words more.
What area of your life have you not trusted God with?
He already knows it’s there He just wants us to share it and help us through it.
Why don’t you pray to Him about it?
