40 Days of Prayer
40 Days of Prayer - Week 2

This week we are continuing on the theme of listening to God. When we ask of God and do not give up, then we can be confident that God will answer our prayer. Our prayer is simply that God will give us a vision together of our next steps. Consider these verses as encouragement.
Acts 13:2
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Daniel 10:12-13
Then he said, "Don't be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way.
1John 5:14-15
And we are confident that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. And since we know He hears us when we make our requests, we also know that He will give us what we ask for.
Jeremiah 29:12-14
In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.
I will be found by you," says the LORD.
When we ask God we should not ask as if we believe he won’t answer. We should have confidence that God does have an answer and that he is eager to share it with us. Our boldness does not come from our act of praying, but rather comes from the knowledge that God loves us and wants to lead us. We must be open to this.
You could pray like this:
Help us to be aware of the difference between our agendas and God’s agenda
Please give us a picture of what the future will be like
Lord, please challenge our fears and the limits we place on you
Seeking earnestly for God to do amazing things
Give us understanding
Show us what you are already blessing, help us to see your priorities
Please make it a priority to join at least one of the prayer meetings because as we seek God as a group, he will speak to us as a group.
