The Vision for People
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

During these 40 Days of Prayer, we are seeking God as to His guidance into the future. But what often happens after prayer is not a call to a particular project or instructions on how to manage the status quo, but the real call is to people. The church at Antioch was going well. People were finding faith. The teaching was excellent (they had Paul and Barnabas). The church was strong. But when God spoke, it was about raising up people and sending them out. “Set Paul and Barnabas apart for a special work.”
It would do us well as individuals to pay attention during these 40 Days of Prayer, because when God moves by His Spirit, He will raise up people. I suspect that what God will reveal to us over the 40 days will go beyond how to spend money or our plans for expansion, I think God will be wanting to raise up people into new and fresh commitments. When God moves, an anointing comes, and people need to step up lest we miss the opportunities God will give us. How will God raise you up? Who will step up and join this move of God?
