40 Days of Prayer
40 Days of Prayer - Week 4

In all our planning, and amidst the many possibilities, the chief question to ask for a church is, "What is going to give God the greatest joy?" Surely this is the main goal. That the people of God would be the key ingredients through whom God shines His glory. This will take trust and obedience.
Consider these verses:
We are starting to get a handle on what God is saying. By observing what He is already doing, and given our resources, it is time to ready ourselves - for the people in the church to step up to the discipleship opportunities opening up. We must increase our capacity to keep receiving those whom Gods sends.
Consider these questions:
If God continues to bring us human and financial resources, what gaps currently exist that may stall the momentum of God’s work?
Of the many options emerging, what must be our next step in responding to God’s leading?
Considering the large financial gift received, a number of responses have already emerged. Which of these thoughts have a Holy Spirit resonance about them? Why did God send us this money?

Consider these verses:
Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 26:14
Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them.
Luke 12:16-21
And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest.
He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
“Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain.
And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.” ’
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
He is showing us not to be afraid, that He can provide. There will be more.
He wants us to enter the next season of growth without the burden of debt.
We asked God to provide. He did. Use it for the things we asked for.
When we look back, what will we point toward as a lasting legacy of this beautiful gift.
