Two Birds Gift Catalogue
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”
Matthew 25:35–36 (NIV)Our church first launched the Two Birds Gift Catalogue in 2009, when there were very few catalogues of this type circulating in society. Gifts purchased where no product is received in exchange for the financial donation of the giver, but a card or electronic message is given in return to pass on to a friend or family member in place of a gift. Many organisations have since come on board, leveraging the ability to raise much needed funds and drawing on people’s desires to give meaningful gifts throughout the Christmas season.
Our Two Birds Gift Catalogue directly provides support for the missionaries and outreaches we partner with overseas, in Australia, and locally. With every gift founded in prayer and the desire to reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ, we have seen the increase of opportunities to share the gospel both close to home and abroad.
There have been marvellous outcomes with people hearing the word of God for the first time in their own language through an audio book, to children learning of God’s love as they’ve been able to attend and be blessed at a soccer camp. Those in war torn Ukraine, being ministered to as they receive briquettes to keep them warm through Winter. And young women hearing that they are lovingly created in the image of God, as they receive a ‘Days for Girls’ kit improving their health, education and livelihoods.
100% of the funds raised go directly to the item purchased, bought by the Mission it is supporting, and delivered with the love of Christ.
