Rhema Wide Bay
105.1 Rhema Wide Bay is your local Christian radio station – broadcasting hope across the airwaves. Based in Hervey Bay, we reach radios from North Gympie in the south, Kilkivan in the west, Elliot Heads in the north, and over to K’gari (Fraser Island) in the east.
We also live stream to anywhere in the world via our website and listing on the Community Radio Plus app.
Our Story
Established in 1993 as the Wide Bay Christian Broadcasters Association, 105.1 Rhema Wide Bay has been faithfully run by dedicated staff and volunteers for the last 32 years. At our October 2025 AGM, our new Management Committee was elected, consisting of Cliff Kingi (President), Mel Dearden (Secretary), Jo Richards (Treasurer) and Peter Boulton. Together, we are committed to ensuring that God’s message of hope and love continues to reach hearts and change lives across our region.
Recent Blessings
Earlier this year, we applied for a grant to help fund much needed renovations and system upgrades. Our equipment had been struggling to keep us on air – some pieces quite literally hanging on by a thread. We praise God that we were successful in gaining a grant to cover 50% of the costs for these needs, and we are trusting Him to provide the remaining funds. Already, we’ve seen His faithfulness through generous donations of equipment that have helped close the gap. More is still needed, but we know God is good.
As a community-based ministry, we are reliant on our members, donors and volunteers to keep broadcasting. If you’d like to partner with us on this journey of sharing the rhema word of God throughout the Wide Bay region, we’d love to hear from you!
