Missions and Ministry

 
Last Sunday we commissioned Dan Cochrane, along with his two children heading off on a Teen Missions Trip commencing next week for Dan.
 
This summer, God has opened the door for myself and my eldest two children, Florence (9) and William (7), to be a part of the Teen Missions Australia team to Vanuatu.
We will be joining 3 other leaders and 10 teenagers from around Australia and New Zealand as we head off on an adventure that we know will push us out of our comfort zone.
Already we are humbled and very grateful for the support that has been shown to us from so many people in such a variety of ways.
The desire for specifics to be praying for has been reoccurring and so I trust the following outline will assist you in your prayers for us and our team.

December 9th-12th = Leaders Training
December 13th – 22nd = “Boot Camp” at Teen Missions (Sunshine Coast). Team training in conditioning, work and evangelism tools as well as focused time for individuals to connect with God themselves and bond as a team.
December 23rd – 27th = At Port Vila. Investing in local church community on main island.
December 27th- January 17th = At Pentecost. Partnering with Southwest Pentecostal Community and helping to rebuild (mostly roof and wall cladding?) a multi-purpose building impacted by natural disaster.
January 17th – 19th = Back at Port Vila for some site seeing/ shopping and reconnecting with the church there.
January 20th – 24th = “Debrief”. Getting prepared to come home after, Lord willing, a summer of epic fun, miracles and amazing personal and spiritual growth.

Please pray daily for:

• Amelia, Hazel (4) and Sienna (2) who are staying home.
• Resilience, understanding and courage for Flo and Will. And that they would see and experience God at work in new ways.
• Wisdom, patience and humility for Dan as he parents, leads and serves.
• Unity for the team as a whole as we balance and enjoy team dynamics.
• Mikaela, Tia and Nate who I will be leading with. May we be unified, supportive and focused.
• The 6 girls and 4 boys who make up our team. May they encounter God daily through His Word and the working of His Spirit in, through and around them.
• The churches we will partner with. May we impact each other with our actions and the gospel.
• The people of Vanuatu.
• Silas, our missionary.
• Protection. Safety as we travel and work as well as good health.
• Effective witness in every way, in every day.
