Your Kingdom Come

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms
1 Peter 4:10
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving
Colossians 3:23,24
Father God, as we pray, “Your Kingdom come,” we commit our ministry teams to You. Cover them with Your protection, fill them with Your strength, and sustain them with wisdom, peace, and courage. When they are weary, renew them, and when they face challenges, surround them with Your peace and power, so that Your Kingdom may be seen through their service.

Prayers for...
- Unity: Father, as people commit themselves to serve at the commencement of this year, we pray for a spirit of unity. Help us to set aside personal agendas and work together in harmony, encouraging one another to excellence. (Therefore encourage one another and build one another up... 1 Thes. 5:11)
- Vision: Lord, help us to see the bigger picture - to build a beautiful church, not just to complete a task. Let our efforts be a reflection of Your love. (Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Prov 16:3)
- Resources: Heavenly Father, we ask for Your provision of resources, finances, and volunteers to fulfil the work You have called us to. We trust in Your abundance and provision, not our own strength. (Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field Matt 9:38)
- Protection: We gather to lift up the name of Jesus, praying for guidance, wisdom, and the protection of our church staff, elders and volunteers. (But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thes 3:3)
- The Holy Spirit's leading: Father, you have given us Your Spirit to lead us in every way that we live, as Your people...for Your Kingdom...and Your glory. Help us to listen closely to His leading (And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. 1 Cor. 2:12)
