Sunday Members Meeting

A short, 20-minute meeting last Sunday of both members and others gathered after church to hear some updates of church business.

Items discussed from the agenda included the following:

  • The appointment of a call-committee for the Youth & Young Adults Pastor.  
This position continues to be advertised with no applications to date.  
We all agreed that, together with Brett, the committee consist of Andrew Painter (Elder and volunteer Youth Leader), Deb Blane (Elder and portfolio Elder for Youth & Young Adults) and members Rob Oatley (volunteer Youth Leader and Young Adults Bible Study Leader) and Jess Anderson (as a Member and her experience and wisdom).

  • Brett reported on the new assignments of the Elders. You can read of this further here.

  • Noela Ensbey (Elder for Finance) gave an encouragement from the word on God’s provision and updated us on our current financial position. Noela spoke to the blessing of being able to pay off the whole of the Hydrant Project and remain loan free.  As of end January 2026, we are approximately 10% under our giving budget.

  • Joanne Lambden (Ministry Facilitator) explained the progress to date of the Fire Hydrant Project along with an expected finishing date within the month. The project has come in under budget.

We thank God for His goodness and His hand over the operations of our church.
