The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

Prayer is a major element in the lives God’s people throughout the Bible. From the Garden of Eden where God walked with His people, to the prayers of Revelation described as rising incense, God has always been interested in connecting with His people. For that is what prayer is. It is a holy connection.
Some people look at prayer as some kind of credit card. You put your request into God, make sure you ask in the right way like some kind of spiritual pin number, then hey presto! You get what you want. That is why many prayers are not effective. It is not about how you pray, nor what words you use, nor your posture, nor the time of day. Prayer is simply about relationship with God.
Simply put, God loves to listen to His children. Prayer is powerful and effective, because we have a relationship with God. It is not that we trust in prayer, but rather we trust in God. There is a difference. The righteousness given to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus, brings us into holy connection with the Father. That is why our prayers are powerful and effective.
