Missions and Ministry
Fiji Bible College

Hervey Bay Baptist Church has had a strong partnership with The College of Theology and Evangelism Fiji, (affectionately known to us as the Fiji Bible College), since 1993. Along with financial and practical support, HBBC teams have travelled to the College many times over the years to join in outreach programs in their community.
Fiji Bible College have been committed to providing each of their students with a rich, Christ Centred learning environment since it was established in 1974. They offer full academic scholarships, and their live-in students receive additional scholarships covering tuition, food, and accommodation; ensuring that finances are never a barrier to their education. They are the oldest accredited theological college in Fiji and exist to disciple and train up the next generation of Christians for life and ministry.
A ministry of Ambassadors for Christ South Pacific, the college was established by Narayan Nair and his wife Savita, after converting from Hinduism to Christianity.
HBBC missions team are planning a short-term mission trip to the Fiji Bible College in April next year. If you’re interested, please join them for more information after church this Sunday June 28th, where Keith Stevenson will be sharing the latest news from the college.
Monthly newsletters are forwarded to us from Dr Narayan and you can read more on the college, their staff and students on their website.
