Happy Father's Day Dad
All these men were under the direction of their fathers
as they made music at the house of the LORD.

The Bible has a lot to say about the value of godly fathers. Dads play a crucial role within their families and within community. The Bible instructs them to take responsibility for their wives and their children. This is a spiritual calling but also a spiritual blessing. When King David was organising the operation of the tabernacle, he set up ministry teams within family groups. This gave the fathers of these families key roles and responsibilities.
The men of our culture have received a bit of a battering of late. But God has a very different view of how important they are. We need to first be thankful for our own dads. Even though no dad is perfect, they took care of us. We need to pray for dads. They carry enormous responsibility spiritually. And we should seek to build up young men well who will one day be dads. Let us hold this vision of good dads closely to our hearts as we celebrate this Father’s Day.
