School Chaplaincy
School chaplains play a valuable role in our schools, offering a listening ear, encouragement and support to students, staff and families as they navigate life’s challenges. Through pastoral conversations, mentoring and wellbeing programs, chaplains help young people build resilience, develop healthy relationships and feel valued and supported.
A recent conversation in a staffroom highlighted the wonderful, peaceful culture of a particular state school. This school has a wonderful, dedicated chaplain and supportive principal and deputy principal. It was a reminder of the difference that caring people, working together, can make in a school community. We believe prayer is an important part of this work, asking God to give chaplains wisdom, compassion and strength as they support those around them.
