Joshua Faint

Youth Director

Tell us a little more about you. Where are you from? Who is in your family?
I’m from Brisbane, and I am married to my beautiful wife Meisha. We have two children at home, Reuben, our son, who is 2, and Melody, our daughter, seven months old!  We have one dog, Denver, who is a golden retriever cross Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and two budgies.

How long have you been involved with HBBC?
We've been attending HBBC for three and a bit years now. We chose to settle at HBBC because we loved the community within the young adult circles, and really felt at home here. The best part of HBBC is just that; the community and sense of family that we have found.

Do you have a favourite thing about Jesus?
In the season of life I’m in at the moment, I'm so inspired by the pattern that Jesus showed us of getting alone with God. How crucial that was for Him, and how often He got alone with God and prayed. The reason this is what stands out to me at the moment is because I am so busy, and don’t get alone with God often enough!

What's your passion in your faith?
I am particularly passionate about young men, particularly between the ages of 13 to 20 or so, and seeing them transform in those years from boys to men, and as part of that seeing them grow within their faith and identity in Jesus Christ and overcoming issues that are common such as pornography.

Finally, what's your favourite thing to do?
My favourite thing would be to go beach camping with my family on Teewah Beach in Queensland.
