Warren Thompson
Hello! My name is Warren. I'm 68 (though you wouldn't believe or think that if you meet me ....haha....more like78!) and I'm in this church to serve.
I've been gifted through Jesus with caring and loving parents (Jack and Joyce) and healthy and high achieving children who have all proceeded to university. 3 boys and a daughter whom I am particularly proud of (she has recently been been promoted to the position of one of 4 new magistrates in the WA legal system!)
Jihong, my gorgeous ballet dancing wife, has also been a loving, supportive and wonderful wife for the last 24 years.
I've been an active volunteer at HBBC since I retired from the workforce in 2015. My involvement with volunteering at HBBC goes back to 1996. Here, I must make a special mention to Owen and Glenda Backwell, who gave me very special mentoring support through Christ through some difficult years.
For 6 years I was also encouraged by Joan Hazelgrove to apply my knowledge of landscaping and gardening to benefit HBBC! The gardens here now are testament to our efforts over the years.
With the encouragement of Colleen Fuller and Rachael Ruhle, I have now given my services to Thursday morning Playgroup mornings (as my knees have said , "NO" to ongoing support in the gardens!)
Finally, I need to say that the God given opportunities here at HBBC for wonderful fellowship, friendship and devotion are displayed in my gratitude in what GOD gives us all!
Cheers and blessings,
Warren
