Thank you

Dear friends,

We are so thankful for your generous support for our Kindness Works Dinner. Your gift of genuine care for the ministries of COACH and Street Works is very much appreciated. The night was well supported by guests, speakers, volunteers, financial and prayer supporters, COACH and Street Works participants. Quite a beautiful mix and very reflective of the character of Kindness Works and its two key programs.

At every level the effort was immense, the planning and preparation was made smooth by the willingness of people to get involved and play their part. From the music team to table decorators, arts and craft works to the kitchen chefs and crew, the diversity of volunteers’ contribution was incredible.

Speaking of our chefs, yes, Mark Payne and Claus Huber, yet again a magnificent meal that was relished by all. Thank you to St James Anglican College for releasing Mark from work on the Friday to do the bulk of the preparation prior to the Saturday.

I especially want to thank Russ and Colleen Fuller and their wonderful team of young volunteers who served tirelessly all night with energy, enthusiasm, and wide smiles. We are thankful for the part you played and the way you inspire and role model to the next generation how to become involved and make a difference.

To Heather Hosking and team, what beautiful table displays yet again. Setting the mood for a relaxed, yet refined evening together at the tables.

We also thank those who worked behind the scenes in administration, sound and technology, in the kitchen, in setting up, packing up, and ferrying people to and from the venue. All was done so graciously and kindly. We appreciate the generous support and guidance from the HBBC staff every step of the way.

Another huge group behind the scenes are all those ‘crafty’ people who generously contributed their creative efforts for sale on the night. The display from both craft stalls was amazing. A big thank you to Karen Young for preparing and managing the sales on the night.

To Mel and her team of brilliant musicians. Wow! A truly inspiring night, touching our hearts with the items performed. Thanks goes to our wonderful MC, James Dearden who kept the night moving along at its usual great pace. You kept us focused and enjoying each segment of the evening.

To our speaker Tanya Stevenson, thank you for inspiring and engaging us in your presentation. It was rather fun to explore simple possibilities together towards a better future.

To our donors and prayer partners, you know who you are. Thank you. Our goal of becoming sustainable flourishing ministries making an impact in Hervey Bay can only be achieved through the prayers of faithful people and financial partners who give of their time and resources to support the work.

To God be the glory, Great things He has done.

Sincerely,
Di Priest
