Like Stars
….. so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.

No amount of darkness can extinguish a light. In fact, the darker it becomes, the brighter the light seems. Christians should not become overwhelmed by evil in the world. Instead, we should trust God that through us others might find the way to God. This is one of the goals that God has in transforming you to become more like Jesus.
Please do not become discouraged by the bad things that are happening around the world. God has placed other Christians in those places to shine his light. Put your energies into the influence that you can have on the people close to you that no other Christian can reach.
