YOUNG MUM'S KYB
I asked Rose Sheehy why she started a Know Your Bible (KYB) Life Group for young mothers. This is the story of Rose's vision from the Lord in February 2023.
“I was praying, listening for the Lord’s promptings. I asked him, “What do you want, Lord”? Then, a sign came - a light bulb moment - just like Jesus turned on a light switch. “Rose, teach and guide young women…Feed my sheep, feed my lambs. Do you love me, Rose, then feed my lambs? Do you love me, Rose, then feed them”. The next step was to obey his calling, and after some planning, the group was born. I asked Him to draw their hearts and bring them, and they came with their babies, one by one—young and hungry women seeking to know their Bible and grow closer to Him. Each time a new Mum comes, I can see His handiwork and footprints – His plan”.
The director of KYB Australia has expressed support for Rose and believes this group is unique to Hervey Bay. Rose is saddened that other mothers in Australia don't have access to a similar group to discuss God's word.
