Resurrection Power
"I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honour at God's right hand in the heavenly realms.”

The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is not some event that we look at in history from a great distance. Rather, it is up close and personal. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus is the power of God at work, not only to bring Jesus to life again but also to give us new life. If we are to be born again, if we are to die to our old life and instead live a new life, then it is the power of God that accomplishes this while we still live in our mortal bodies. Just as Jesus was resurrected physically, so also the power of God is exerted into us while we still live.
This is what it means to be born again. One day we will also experience another resurrection. Our physical body will die and we will be raised into eternity with an immortal body. But that does not mean that we have to wait till then before we experience the power of the Holy Spirit. There is a tremendous heavenly power within us that we can experience through life, through witness, through prayer. Let us trust and embrace that by faith.
