When the Right Time Comes
"On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place."

“All the believers were gathered together ….” They knew Jesus had told them to wait. They were faithful in meeting together. They appointed a 12th apostle to replace Judas, but most importantly, they knew that God had something powerful for them but they didn’t know when.
We so easily brush past these words without realising how difficult it is when things around us are not resolved. We wish things to be different so we try to speed things up. We hope for revival but it doesn’t seem to come so we plan events and create momentum but it is hard work. But the thing we learn in this story of Pentecost is that it is God who brings revival. When God does his work, it is truly a thrilling ride. But there is a caution. Don’t chase the thrill. Chase the Lord. It is like surfing in waves. You can paddle like crazy and you will move forward but if you paddle like crazy when the wave comes it will be fantastic.
