Wednesday Young Adults was formed after one young adult group became very large, and the decision was made to split it into two groups. Half of the group meets on Monday nights, while Nick and Annika Price host the other half at their home in Urraween on Wednesday evenings.
"The group's purpose is to encourage stimulating discussion around Bible topics, understand the meaning of the text, and find ways of applying it to daily life. Socially, the group provides spiritual and pastoral support by offering opportunities to pray for each other after the study and throughout the week. Smaller prayer trios now provide deeper interpersonal support and growth.
Long-term, persistent prayer has met many needs: jobs, accommodation, healing, and protection over family and friends. Most importantly, faith and perseverance have grown in every member committed to studying the Bible as a group and offering and seeking support from other members. Last year, we supported two members as they welcomed their first child.
In 2023, we studied 1 and 2 Samuel and finished the series at a themed party. Everyone dressed as characters, and we enjoyed a meal and a themed trivia quiz to celebrate."
