R10CC Holds Its First Baptism
Matt & Ruth (with 2 children at the time) moved from Queensland to St John’s Newfoundland in 2019 to commence a church plant. This was to be the first gospel-centred church to open in Kilbride in 135 years!
HBBC support the Lahey family in prayer and through gifts sold in our Two Birds catalogue, extending from our connection with Ruth having grown up in this church. Some members also make contributions to support their work.
With their church plant formerly founded as Kilbride Community Church, they have recently changed their name to a more suitable Route 10 Community Church (R10CC) as they’ve settled into their new premises.
As Matt shares in the following video, there are many firsts in a church plant. Just last month, they celebrated their first baptisms. We celebrate with them in the work God is doing in their midst as His word goes forth and lives are transformed. They share a clip of this time, held at one of the other Mile One Mission churches, Calvary Baptist Church for the use of their facilities. (It’s a little cold there to just head to the beach and have it outside at 0°c).
