Director of Operations
(Formerly Ministry Facilitator)
We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified Director of Operations for this 3 day a week position. This position is a member of the Pastoral Lead Team, responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the church.

Youth and Young Adults Pastor
We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified youth and young adult pastor to oversee the growing and effective youth and young adult ministries of the church.
This is a 4 day per week role.

Voluntary Positions
Onboarding Process
Apart from our legal obligations, it is our intention to provide a high standard of security and safety for both those who serve, and those we serve.
Therefore, any person interested in becoming a volunteer at HBBC will need to complete our onboarding process. Apart from an initial application, this will include referee checks, an interview, obtaining a Blue Card (if working with U18s), WHS & Safe Church training & a relevant induction in the area of ministry you seek to serve in.
We guide, support and assist in all aspects to help step you through this process, so you can jump into serving as soon as you're able.

Hospitality (Blue Card - required for some positions)
- Kitchen Team (4 people needed); ≃ 3hrs on a Sunday morning, once a month (or more if desired). Serving alongside a team, under a team leader to help with morning tea.
- Catering Team; As needed to serve in the kitchen for special events, eg. Alpha meals, funerals, family nights. Serving alongside a team, under a team leader.
- Baking/Food preparation; As needed to support event catering team.
Kids Ministry (Blue Card Essential)
- Creche Coordinator: ≃ 2hrs/wk, rostering & oversight of volunteers for Sunday morning Creche
- Creche Assistants: ≃ 1hr/mth on roster to care for children up to 3yrs of age during church, enabling families to engage in the message.
- Playgroup Assistants (3 people needed): ≃ 3hrs/wk (Tue or Thu morning), A love for serving families in the community, building relationships with parents/carers who attend.
- RI Instructors: ≃ 1hr/wk per class. Volunteer for one class or more as you choose. Separate training to our inhouse onboarding. Contact Julie at cri@hbcma.org.au for more information.
- Kids Club Assistant Leaders: ≃ 3hrs/wk during school term on a Friday night. Assisting Russ & Colleen Fuller as they deliver an amazing program for our Primary aged children.
- Kids Church Assistant Leaders: ≃ 2hrs/wk during school term on a Sunday morning. With 3 age specific programs these 45 min lesson times support parents in confirming the truths of the gospel, helping lead our young hearts to a deeper relationship with Jesus.
- Kids Church Welcome: ≃ 1hr/wk on a Sunday morning to welcome any new families that come to church, help them fill in a quick registration form and let them know the rooms their kids can go to join in.
- Junior Leader Mentors: We have many young leaders (ages 13-17), who we’d love to mentor as they seek to become the next generation of leaders in our church. Help them as they grow their own relationship with Jesus and leadership skills.
- Holiday Program Helpers: Support the Sunday morning holiday program for ages 3 - Grade 6, on school term break. Once, twice or as many times a year as you'd like.
Kindness Works
- Bunning BBQ Fundraisers, Once a month on a Friday. Choose your time. Fill out this form to register your interest.
- COACH Mentors; ≃ 1hr/wk, once training is completed to mentor a parent with young children, or a youth at school.
Property/Maintenance
- Cleaning - As much or as little as you'd like. Adopt a small cleaning job, or join a team on Monday mornings. There's more cleaning jobs than our current team can get to.
- Gardening - Come at a time that suits you. Adopt a garden bed, commit to pruning a hedge, or simply watering the pot plants.
- Maintenance - At a time that suits you, come and assist with small jobs around the church as noted in our maintenance request book.
- Mowing - It's a big job, currently completed by one man. We're sure he'd love a hand.
Other Opportunities
- Alpha Leaders - ≃ 3hrs/wk for 10 weeks. We'd love to offer Alpha in Term 3. All material provided for weekly video presentations. Are you gifted in facilitating? This could be for you.
- Ushers: Sun AM. Our ushers help create a warm and welcoming environment by greeting people and guiding them to suitable seating. They are calm, supportive, and understanding, helping everyone feel comfortable and included as they arrive for the service.
